PRIDE+JOY Press Release : 30th January 2013

Jake Wynne's Dominos

With a very tricksy budget and four hours' shoot time for two films, the uber-wonderful Jake Wynne has deftly shot these great online films for Dominos, with his signature perfectly-pitched performances. Drop us a line to see the zombies version, featuring passers-by and local kids with bits of their faces dropping off.

Andy Blackburn's Pampers

Pride+Joy is delighted to share with you Andy Blackburn's latest ad for Pampers. Shot in Capetown with an inordinate number of babies and with Andy doing the baby-wrangling himself (my, but he can pull so some faces) these are brilliantly charming spots which we recommend you watch any time you're a tad grumpy and in need of a wee smile.

Sam Tootal doesn’t just Talk the Talk…

Sam Tootal's eye-catching idents for TalkTalk will hit our screens very soon. Using motion-control to film a bespoke tank and CGI to anchor it in a modern art-installation space, each of the six spots fills the tank with an unexpected item. Using interactive lighting and up to twenty passes to build each image, Sam has created these simple, beautiful and engaging films.

Here's what CHI's TV Producer Jonny Hall had to say about working with us: “Sam and Pride+Joy brought a real energy and willingness to the project from the off. They managed to take the idea and not only bring it to life but manage a complex post-production process into the bargain as well. It was great working with them and it really felt like a partnership for myself and the creative’s, an experience I hope to repeat and one I would thoroughly recommend."

New Multi-media Boutique Production Company PRIDE+JOY signs Young Gifted Talent Andy Blackburn

Hot, young talent Andy Blackburn is the latest signing to the increasingly eclectic roster of directors at boutique film production company Pride + Joy. Having gained solid experience in all aspects of commercial film -making, first as an agency producer and  latterly as a freelance director and editor, Andy has gone on to write his own low-budget features showcasing his natural ability to inspire emotional performances from dramatic, human story lines.

Having been shortlisted for BBC3 New Film Maker of the Year at the tender age of 19, the precociously talented Mr. Blackburn left the beaches of the Isle of Man for the bright lights of London. The next couple of years were spent learning the ropes as a junior agency producer, directing small projects on the side, before going freelance in 2005. After five years of producing, editing and directing, Andy decided to focus purely on directing and has just finished shooting a self-penned low-budget feature, due for release at the end of September. His passion and talent lie in getting the most believable performance out of a good story with emotional content. Top tip: He’s already started writing his next feature, so get your hands on him before Hollywood does!
